Fifth Annual Muriel’s Breath of Life Picnic 2014

The Fifth Annual Muriel’s Breath of Life Picnic was a tremendous success. We were blessed with a beautiful day that enhanced all of the great picnic activities. The attendance was the best ever with 168 adults and 58 children. The music was again provided by Swingtet 8. There were lots of games and activities enjoyed by the kids. The food, prepared and served by the Lagnese family was outstanding. Although the event is designed to be great fun spending time with family and friends the bottom line is that we are trying to raise money in Muriel’s memory to help those with Cystic Fibrosis. This year the picnic was a great financial success. This was the first year that we had the benefit of sponsors which allowed us to raise $12,000 before the event even occurred. In addition we had the most attendees ever, a more successful silent and Chinese auctions and continued great support from donors who were unable to come to the picnic. Almost all of the expenses were donated by family and friends so all but $1,000 generated were donated to the CF clinics to help the patients. We raised $26,000 on that wonderful day.
