Fourth Annual Muriel’s Breath of Life Picnic 2013

The Fourth Annual Muriel’s Breath of Life Picnic moved to a new venue at The Lodge in North Park. On a hot but sunny day over 200 of Muriel’s supporters enjoyed great food, music, games and camaraderie. The more expansive facility allowed this wonderful group of family and friends to have a very enjoyable afternoon. We thank all of those who attended and also those who generously donated raffle items, food, drink and money. Because of all of these generous people we were able to raise approximately $15,000. We were blessed by good weather but we are mostly blessed by the wonderful people that support the memory of our sister Muriel and the cause that she inspires us to work for.

We were honored and appreciative that one of the recipients of the fund, Wendy Faust, made the trip from Altoona with her family to attend the picnic and give testimony to what the fund can mean to an individual with Cystic Fibrosis. She was kind enough to share some of the physical and financial challenges that Cystic Fibrosis presents her as she works hard at being a good mom and nurse. Her words were both moving and inspiring. Muriel would have related quite well with Wendy.
