Third Annual Muriel’s Breath of Life Picnic 2012

The Third Annual Muriel’s Breath of Life Picnic, held on Sunday, September 2, 2012, was characteristic of past picnics held to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. People had a fantastic time. Friends, families and guests congregated to the music of Jazz 3 and enjoyed grilled lamb, sausage, chicken and locally grown fruits and vegetables. It wasn’t a bad deal for the children either as they had their choice of bouncing in the bouncy house, getting soaked in the dunk tank or just playing ball in the football field below. Family and friends also participated in the silent and Chinese auction. They placed bids on Penguin, Pitt, Steelers and Pirate tickets, just to name a few of the great prizes that were available at the auction. It was great fun getting together for a good cause and honoring Muriel at the same time. All proceeds of the picnic go to the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Care Program at UPMC’s Comprehensive Lung Center.
